Pennsylvania House Bill 1901 (2022)

An Act amending Titles 3 (Agriculture) and 27 (Environmental Resources) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes in Conservation Excellence Grant Program further providing for criteria for evaluation of applications; and in conservation and natural resources providing for nonpoint source pollution reduction and establishing the Agriculture Conservation Assistance Program the Pennsylvania Clean Water Procurement Program and the Municipal Storm Water Assistance Program.

This bill includes remediation of soil, wetlands/streams, and water quality as priority projects for the Conservation Excellence Grant Program. It would also establish the Clean Streams Fund, which would support the newly established Agriculture Conservation Assistance Program, Pennsylvania Clean Water Procurement Program, and the Municipal Storm Water Assistance Program. In particular, the Ag Conservation Assistance Program would fund projects related to manure or nutrient management plans, conservation plans or agriculture erosion and sediment control plans.
