An act concerning nutrient loss reduction

This bill directs that funds from the Partners for Conservation Fund and Partners for Conservation Projects Funds may be used to implement the state’s Nutrient Loss Reduction Strategy and the Policy Working Group. Funds may be used to for water quality monitoring, cost-share funding for nutrient capture projects, and similar projects. The bill also extends the period of time for which the treasury will make automatic transfers into the two funds from 2022 to 2027 and designates specific amounts of money for the proposed uses.
