This template agreement (Form NRCS-LTP-40) is used in USDA Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) Agricultural Conservation Easement Program – Wetland Reserve Easement component (ACEP-WRE). The agency enters into this agreement with a qualified Tribal landowner to initiate the process to enter into a 30-year contract. The agreement lists the amount NRCS will pay, describes the property and acreage, and lists the contract length. The agreement will list a date by which the contract will be finalized unless an extension is agreed to by both parties.
