Harrison County, IN: Local PACE Enabling Ordinance

Harrison County has a local PACE program with two components: the Land Conservation Program and the Agricultural Conservation Easement Program (HCACEP).

The Land Conservation Program pays the administrative costs accrued by local land trusts that accept donated conservation easements. This program was created by Ordinance 2006-38.

HCACEP provides matching funds and administrative costs for projects acquired under the Agricultural Conservation Easement Program, Agricultural Land Easements enrollment option (ACEP-ALE), which is the federal farmland protection program administered by USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS). This program was created by Ordinance 2006-39 and updated by Ordinance 2017-13.
