Michigan House Bill 4363 (2022)

A bill to amend 1994 PA 451, entitled “Natural resources and environmental protection act,” by amending sections 2104, 2132, and 2165 (MCL 324.2104, 324.2132, and 324.2165), sections 2104 and 2132 as amended by 2018 PA 238 and section 2165 as added by 2018 PA 240

The bill would extend the time period for the Department of Natural Resources to approve or deny an application for a proposed exchange of surplus state land for land owned by a private individual from 180 days to 210 days. The bill also would extend the time period for the department to approve or deny an application for a proposed negotiated sale of surplus state land from 180 days to 210 days. It would also require public notice at least 30 days before the department can acquire or make a decision to dispose of, lease, or develop land of more than 80 acres in size.
