Minnesota Metropolitan Agricultural Districts Enabling Statutes

Minnesota’s metropolitan agricultural district enabling laws allow local governments in Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott or Washington counties (the “Minn Metro” area) to enter into contracts with private landowners for the purpose of restricting specific parcels of land to agricultural use.

Minnesota has a distinct statewide agricultural district program for areas outside of the Minn Metro area. See the below link to access the enabling statutes for that program.
