New Jersey Comprehensive Land Use Planning Statutes

These statutes contain New Jersey’s state and local comprehensive planning laws.

Title 40, Chapter 55D sets out the laws for municipal comprehensive planning and zoning regulations, known as the “Municipal Land Use Law”.

Title 40, Chapter 27 provides standards for county planning boards.

Portions of Title 52, Chapter 18A authorize the State Planning Commission and establish the State Development and Redevelopment Plan.
