National Agricultural Landscapes Forum: Landscape Integrity and Water Security in the 21st Century, Executive Summary

The National Agricultural Landscapes Forum held on April 7 & 8 in Washington, DC, brought together thought-leaders from across the country to discuss critical issues facing U.S. agriculture, conservation and rural regions in the 21st Century.

The Forum was the culmination of a series of activities undertaken by the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) with American Farmland Trust (AFT) and Farm Foundation NFP to inform the Soil and Water Resources Conservation Act (RCA) assessment process. Regional roundtable and national Forum discussions emphasized the need for lasting and affordable solutions to address the challenges facing U.S. agriculture and provided important feedback on how well USDA conservation programs are serving the long-term needs of the nation.
