Since 1989, the Genesee County Chamber of Commerce Agricultural Committee, in collaboration with Cornell Cooperative Extension, the Soil and Water Conservation District, and the county Farm Bureau, has hosted the "Decision Makers Tour" of Genesee County agricultural businesses. Local officials, farmers, students and the public take buses to farms and agribusinesses in the county to learn about agricultural issues that affect the community. The tour also showcases the impacts that local decisions have on agricultural businesses. Approximately 100 people attend each year. The event is funded by collaborating organizations.
