This is a sample easement used in Harrison County, Indiana’s Agricultural Conservation Easement Program (HCACEP). This program provides funding to land trust partners that directly hold the easement. The land trust partner in this sample easement is George Rogers Clark Land Trust.

This project also used matching funds from the federal farmland protection program, NRCS’ Agricultural Conservation Easement Program-Agricultural Land Easement (ACEP-ALE). It also contains a provision relating to the siting of solar energy installations on protected land.
