PACE Data Dashboard

Each year, the Farmland Information Center collects data from state purchase of agricultural conservation easement (PACE) programs to track farmland protection activity across the U.S. This dashboard highlights key indicators of program activity, enabling comparison across states. It displays information on the easements acquired, acres protected, and dollars spent by these state programs. Users can select “annual” to visualize year-over-year trends since 2020 or “cumulative” to view total activity from program inception up through the selected year. How to Use the Dashboard

• Click on a state on the map or select a state or program from the table to filter information for that state/program. To return to the default view, click the state or program again or choose “select all” from the state dropdown at the top.
• To select multiple items from the dropdown menus at the top of the dashboard or to select multiple states or programs from the table, hold the Ctrl or Command key as you click.
• Clicking on the table’s column headers will sort the table by ascending or descending value. The bars associated with each cell in the table show that cell’s value relative to the other values in that column.
